The Mosquito drum , even though it is called a " DRUM " , It"s moor of
a harp type stringed instrument , ( David"s harp ) . It"s used in the Kicking & Knocking - Flying " Ring Shout "
, Praise house , seeking etc . and where ever some good improve spirit was needed .
It reminds one of the Berimbau sound in N' Gullah danse /fight . I remember moor
or less ; hip wrestling . But due to slavery we Gullah/Gee "CHI " didin"t have time to write things down .
Because my Aunt Cleo and my Father " TUDE " were the fighters , I can remember them
giving me stratigies for combat .
Definitly the CoCo Butt , Jack U up . Legg wraps ( Figue 4 ) chokes etc.
This " Mosquito Drum is the missing link .
